A new wall at Isili? It seems a heresy but it is really
true! We have come back and climbed on the walls of
Isili on September: there someone told us that some
German climbers had put pitons on a new wall. It has
not been difficult to understand where it was! It was
just there, where everyone had gone and looked around
but had never taken the decision to begin… We had called
that little wall "Campo dei Fiori"(Field of flowers),
because it stood just in the middle of a flowering field.
The routes are, as we imagined, short and violent, but
they all are interesting, in the classical style of
Isili, rather tendinous. The visitors wrote below the
names and the degrees, but some of their estimation
is really odd. We have for that reason changed some
of them, trying to adapt them to those about the other
walls. Look at them and consider what do you think,
sending us your opinion! You can reach the wall in ten
minutes, crossing eastwards from the Philosophers' Stone,
on a flat route at first and then on a downhill little
route. There is a cliff, which is behind a mound, in
the middle of a field and is exposed to the sun in the
morning only.
