Although
the climbing area in Siniscola is not well-known among climbers, it offers
nonetheless some very interesting routes. One of the most fascinating
ones is certainly the overhanging strip called “Paretina per Lodè”, where
the first route was bolted by the Trentine Bruno Pederiva, one of the
pioneers of overhanging climbing in the Nuoro area. Later on, other climbers
from Olbia equipped the routes on the slabs, whereas Giuseppe Garippa
from Oliena dealt with the overhangs of the higher part of the wall. These
consist of a series of nice pipe-like rock caves, and the climb is therefore
characterised by continuity. Some fantastic routes, which really deserve
to be repeated, are near some projects.
How to get there: from Siniscola take the road for Lodè and park
as soon as you can (there is no parking area), after you pass the lower
area, that offers about ten interesting throws along the side of the road.
Climb up the slope until you reach some prickly pears you must overpass
carefully, reaching the base of the cliff at its right end. The routes
can be reached along a small path at the base of the rocks (10 minutes).
Sun only in the afternoon, the wall faces the west.
